HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The City of Hesperia has suspended work on the very last part of the Ranchero Road Widening Project.

City of Hesperia said in a statement, due to unanticipated delays, increased costs, and other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, City of Hesperia will suspend demolition and construction of the Ranchero Road bridge at this time, and will evaluating alternative strategies.

Back in 2021 they said, removing the existing aqueduct two-lane bridge and constructing a new bridge was estimated to cost the city of Hesperia $16 million.

The aqueduct bridge is located on Ranchero Road between Cottonwood Avenue and Seventh Ave.

The new bridge will consist of four traffic lanes, a middle lane, and shared pedestrian/bicycle pathways.
