Motorcycle Rider Airlifted with Serious Injuries after Crash on I-15 Sunday Afternoon

YERMO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) > A motorcycle rider was flown to the hospital for “significant injuries” from an crash on Interstate 15 Sunday afternoon.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:51pm February 23, 2025, on southbound I-15 at the Field Road exit.

San Bernardino County Fire responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a white Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck.

On south I-15, the motorcycle rider and the driver of the pick-up truck collided, both of them were traveling in the southbound lanes. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and lying on the ground.

The operator of the motorcycle was airlifted by medical helicopter due to medical needs determined by rescue personnel on scene. Mercy Air #66 airlifted the rider to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

There were no other reported injuries.

A group of motorcyclists were speeding and lane-splitting before the crash, according to witnesses stated on the CHP traffic log.
