Semi Tractor-Trailer Crashes into a Tree, Catches Fire along I-15 in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi tractor-trailer Friday morning lost control on Interstate 15 in Victorville, goes off the freeway crashed into a tree then caught fire, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened around 10:08am on February 28, 2025, in the southbound lanes just after the Roy Rogers Drive exit.

The semi driver reportedly veered off the roadway went through about 250 feet of chain-link fence then hit a large tree in the Victorville Superior Court House back parking lot.

The semi was the only vehicle involved stated on the CHP Traffic Log.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

It wasn’t immediately determined what may have caused the crash. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at the time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
