Fatal Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 15 in Baker Wednesday Night

BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One driver is dead and another driver is hospitalized after a head-on crash Wednesday night on Interstate 15 in the town of Baker.

It happened along the northbound I-15 traffic lanes near Baker Boulevard exit around 9:53pm on March 12, 2025.

According to California Highway Patrol reports, a vehicle was traveling on northbound I-15, made a U-turn proceeded to go south in the northbound lanes, about a mile after the Baker Blvd exit.

The wrong-way driver hit the first vehicle in the fast lane and then collided with at least two more vehicles including a Amazon semi-truck.

One person suffered major injuries and they requested a medical helicopter to transported.

Emergency responders pronounced one person decease at the scene. Another person was reported trapped in their vehicle. Meanwhile, a third person managed to without injuries, the CHP traffic report said.

Additional details on the identity of the person who was killed and the number of other injured motorists was not immediately available.
