California Highway Patrol responded to the traffic collision involving a white Ford Crown Victoria sedan and a semi tractor trailer about 6:13pm on March 25, 2025. The collision was located on northbound Interstate 15 just after the La Mesa/Nisqualli Road exit.
Speeding may have caused the driver to lose control of the Crown Vic, hit the guardrail, then shot across all the lanes, and crash into the side of a passing semi tractor trailer.
The driver of the Ford reported only to have minor injuries at the scene.
The semi driver said, they were transporting general freight not hazardous materials freight inside.
Traffic was backup for about 5 miles as a tow truck was able to remove the car from the slow lane.
