PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> San Bernardino County Public Works continue the Phelan Road project this spans an approximately 8-mile section from 700 feet west of Beekley Road to 400 feet east of Baldy Mesa Road.
The initiative includes pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction, installation of new curb and gutter, modifications to traffic signals, new traffic striping, and the placement of signs and pavement markers.
Additionally, new curb ramps will be installed or existing ones reconstructed at various points along the route to comply with current design standards and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.

During construction, lane closures may occur, potentially causing major traffic delays. Traffic will be managed by a flagger to direct traffic. They also advise motorists to plan for additional travel time, drive cautiously, and reduce speed through the work zones.
Roadwork starts at 7am-4pm** each workday Monday-Friday.
The project is expected to be complete by the end of June 2025*.
**Times can subject to change and could go longer or start earlier. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or construction issues.
This project will not add a extra lane. That project is comming soon down the road.
