Funeral Procession for Fallen SB Sheriff Deputy will impact Traffic Thursday Morning

SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The funeral procession for an San Bernardino County Sheriff Deputy could impact traffic on Tuesday morning, the department says.

San Bernardino County Sheriff Deputy Hector Cuevas, Jr. from the Victorville station died on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the age of 36 following a high speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle that had been reported to the department just minutes earlier. During the high-speed chase, Deputy Sheriff Cuevas’ vehicle collided with another car and then a nearby power pole. The impact of the crash split the patrol vehicle in half, critically injuring Deputy Sheriff Cuevas.

Procession Route starts on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from approximately 8:30am.

Starting at the 1100 block of E. Highland Avenue, in the city of San Bernardino.

– west on Highland Avenue, then north on Valencia Avenue to 30th Street west.

– Westbound 210 to I-10 Westbound.

– Westbound I-10, Exit Vineyard Freeway to I-15 Southbound.

– Southbound I-15 Avenue, turn south.

– South on Vineyard Ave, East on Convention Center Way.

– Turn into the Ontario Convention Center approximately 10:30am.

Please note this is a private ceremony for law enforcement and family only. If you would like to pay your respects along the route, we ask that you do so safely.

He is survived by his wife, two children, his parents, and his brother and sister.
