PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A blaze that officials dubbed the Phelan Fire began burning near Phelan Road on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was first reported near Phelan Rd. and Vinton Rd. in the town of Phelan at about 1:57pm.
Firefighters reported the fire was wind driven with moderate rate of spread with multiple structures were threatened.
The fire forward progress was stopped just before 3pm and the cause is under investigation, according to San Bernardino County Fire Department.
