SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> As you take the roads this week and celebrate the New Year, the California Highway Patrol reminds everyone to make safety part of the plan:
✔️ Drive Sober: Never get behind the wheel impaired. Plan ahead, designate a sober driver, or use a rideshare or public transportation.
✔️ Slow Down: Speeding puts lives at risk. Give yourself extra time and drive responsibly.
✔️ Stay Focused: Distracted driving can be deadly. Put the phone away and keep your attention on the road.
✔️ Buckle Up: Seat belts save lives—every seat, every trip.
✔️ Share the Road: Stay alert for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists, especially during nighttime celebrations.
As we welcome 2026, let’s look out for one another and make it home safely.
Happy New Year and safe travels from the California Highway Patrol and the Pain In the Pass.
