Pain In The Pass

Full Freeway Closure For Emergency Repair On Southbound 15 In Devore Friday Night – Saturday Morning

DEVORE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Department of Transportation Caltrans Cajon Maintenance crews will begin emergency repairs on the Southbound Interstate 15. Full freeway closure from southbound connector Interstate 215 to Glen Helen Parkway.

Roadwork will start at 9:30pm Friday night February 26, through Saturday morning at 9am*.

Emergency Repairs to the Attenuator system and slab replacement in lanes.

A crash attenuator is a safety device intended to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles and motorists when a vehicle leaves the roadway. The attenuator system typically connects to the end of a guard rail at the edge of the roadway shoulder.

Slab replacement can be a repair option when a slab is cracked or uneven. During a partial slab replacement, the slab is cut around the edges then broken apart and poured new concrete.

Motorists are advised you to use alternate routes by taking the 215 freeway, this will be the fastest way, not side streets.
