CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two good Samaritans pulled over to put out a small brush fire in the Cajon Pass Monday afternoon.
The brush fire broke out around 3:15pm Monday September 13, 2021 along northbound Interstate 15 about a mile before Cleghorn Road exit. That’s when a group of concerned good Samaritans took action.
When Eric Wilson a Pain In The Pass Facebook group member used his fire extinguisher from his Champion Electric Inc. work truck and shoes to stomp out the flames. Soon, another good Samaritan pulled over and also used his fire extinguisher from his work van to extinguish the flames before the fire department arrived. The blaze, which burned about a 50-foot-by-12-foot spot.
While the cause is still unknown. The fire department says you should always call 911 immediately after a fire breaks out. There are also ways to contain a fire, like the drivers did in the Cajon Pass. The Pain In The Pass group would like to Thank Eric Wilson and the other person in the Arbon Equipment Corporation van that stopped and put out the flames.
