The crash happened at about 2:54am Sunday April 30, 2023. The location of the rollover crash was on southbound Interstate 15 about a half of a mile before the Main Street exit. California Highway Patrol and Victorville Fire Department responded to the rollover crash involving a white Chevrolet Trailblazer Subcompact SUV on its roof blocking the middle lane.

For reasons still under investigation, the Chevy SUV lost control and rolled over multiple times. The SUV came to rest on its roof blocking the #2 lane.

According to the CHP, the driver was ejected as the SUV rolled. Rescue workers found the driver in the right shoulder of the freeway. They rendered aid to the driver, but sadly the driver succumbed to their injuries sustained in the collision.

Traffic was temporarily shut down for about a hour, by the CHP for the rollover investigation. Then the slow was blocked for the rest of the investigation and for the vehicle to be towed away.

The driver identity has not been released publicly at this time.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office.
