SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver struck and killed a pedestrian late Thursday night on Interstate 215 in San Bernardino.
California Highway Patrol officers were called about 8:44pm on September 7, 2023. The incident happen on the northbound side of I-215 freeway, just north of Orange Show Road where they found the victim lying on the end of the onramp, CHP traffic log said.
The pedestrian, whose gender, name and age was not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene.
When CHP arrived on the scene, a pedestrian was found unresponsive in the slow lane. Shortly after they pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.
The vehicles that hit the pedestrian did stop on the freeway shoulder or near the scene and the drivers did call 911. Both drivers did remain on and near the scene for questioning, according to the CHP traffic log.
This incident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino Inland Office. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call (909) 383-4247.
