California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department received calls of a crash with two vehicles. The collision happened at about 4:07pm on November 3, 2023, on eastbound Highway 138 at 155th Street E.
The two vehicles involved in the collision were reported to be a tan Toyota Camry sedan and a black Cadillac Escalade SUV. The driver of the Toyota pulled over onto the shoulder to replace a flat tire when the driver of the Cadillac (may have falling asleep) veered to the right and struck him and his vehicle.
The man of the Toyota sadly succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Authorities are not releasing his name until his family can be notified.
No details have been released about the other driver besides driving with a suspended license. CHP are still looking into the crash, but say it is possible that the driver of the Cadillac could face charges.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Palmdale Office.
