Two Separate Crashes on Southbound I-15 in Hesperia Cause Major Traffic Friday Afternoon

HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Friday traffic led to two separate crashes near the same area of Interstate 15 in Hesperia. These accidents caused a major traffic jam for miles. (Photo above is credit by Gilbert Anguiano.)

The first incident was the largest and occurred on southbound Interstate 15 just before the Ranchero Road exit, at about 2:53pm on Friday, December 8, 2023. This incident involved two vehicles which included a grey Chrysler 200 sedan, and a red Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. This blocked all traffic lanes for over a half an hour. The Chevy truck hit the k-rail and became disabled in the middle and slow lane.

The second incident, happened around 3pm on southbound I-15 near Joshua Street and involved a silver Toyota Corolla sedan and a white Ford Transit van.

It was reported there were no major injuries in either incident.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident reports is available. Additional details are limited at this time. All the incidents will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
