Snow playing in the town of Wrightwood and at Mountain High. Flatlanders are coming up today to play in the snow.
10am a Traffic Advisory was issued for Northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass. Traffic starts around Kenwood Ave all the way up to Highway 138 Saturday morning.
Give yourself extra time and patients to arrive to your destination. Don’t tailgate and don’t attempt to pass illegally. California Highway Patrol says, “Arrive Alive!”
Drivers that stop on the highway for any reason other than an emergency will be ticketed by the CHP. Please don’t stop for selfies or to let your children play in the snow next to a highway, it’s not safe and it’s dangerous.
Here is some times to avoid the traffic around Wrightwood and the Cajon Pass:
- Times to avoid Highway 2 going to Wrightwood is 8am to 5pm, avoid time to leave Wrightwood is from 3pm to 7pm.
- Times to avoid Hwy 138 going to Hwy 2 is 8am to 4pm then going back down to the 15 freeway is 3pm to 8pm.
- Also Northbound 15 in the Cajon Pass will start traffic backing up at Highway 138 off ramp. Watch for STOPPED vehicles on the off ramp or the freeway.
- Southbound 15 in the Cajon Pass will see traffic around 3pm at Hwy 138 because people are starting to leave Wrightwood.
Bring your patience, Please. Don’t need road rage for something petty.
