HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A semi tractor-trailer driver veered into a ditch and crashed over on the right shoulder of Interstate 15 near the Bear Valley Road exit Wednesday morning. (Photo above is credit by Deric Davidson.)
The crash was reported at about 5:51am Wednesday August 21, 2024, on northbound I-15 about a mile before the Bear Valley Road exit. The semi tractor-trailer was loaded of 25 thousand pounds of freight.
For reasons still under investigation, the semi driver veered off the right shoulder of the freeway into the drainage ditch and went over into the dirt shoulder. The semi reportedly took out about 100 feet of chain link fence.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
After the crash, the slow lane was shut down until the semi-tractor-trailer could be pulled out from the ditch/dirt shoulder.
The freeway was fully reopened by mid-morning with traffic backup to Main Street.
