One Person Airlifted in a Head-On Crash on Highway 395 Friday Morning

It was reported the crash happened at about 7:30am, on Friday November 29, 2024, between Poplar Street and Main Street on Hwy 395.

The vehicles involved in the head-on crash was a gold Toyota Camry sedan and a gray Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback. Both vehicles had major front-end damage and were in the northbound Hwy 395 lane.

San Bernardino County Firefighters arrived on scene, they said two people were involved, a driver in each vehicle. One person reported to have serious injuries and the other had minor injuries. Firefighters requested a medical helicopter to land at the scene to transported.

Mercy Air #2 helicopter landed nearby and transported the driver to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. One person was transported by ground ambulance to a nearly hospital.

It wasn’t immediately determined what may have caused the head-on collision. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at the time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
