Brush Fire Breaks Out Saturday in the Mojave Riverbed in Oro-Grande

The Ranch Fire was first reported at around 10:40am on Saturday March 8, 2025, near Robinson Ranch Road and National Trails Highway in the community of Oro Grande, according to San Bernardino County Fire Department crews.

Flames were burning at a slow rate of spread through heavy fuels in the Mojave Riverbed, according to firefighters. As of 3pm, firefighters said the forward progress was stopped and that the fire had consumed about 60 acres.

Crews have not yet disclosed a cause for the fire but there are reports a vehicle fire sparked the brush.
