CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A weak weather system, will bring a chance of patchy light rain showers or drizzle to hit SoCal on Monday into Tuesday morning. Scattered light rain showers and with heavy fog for the Cajon Pass and the Inland Empire Valleys cities. No chance of snow showers with this storm for the Cajon Pass.
The timing of the rain showers could start around before or just after 12am midnight for the Cajon Pass/Inland Empire Valley area. The rain should be out by Tuesday morning.
The Southern California Weather Force Weather Service has issued a Fog Advisory for the Cajon Pass and in the south facing mountain area. Also issued a Wind Advisory for the high desert with gust up to 50+ mph.
Timing for Inland Empire/Cajon Pass. Light rain showers could start around 10pm Sunday-3am Monday last until Thursday morning. Heavy fog/rain in the Cajon Pass. The Cajon Pass/foothills could get about ½ inch to a inch of rain total. The Inland Empire cities could get about an inch to a trance to ½ inch of rain total, each city could vary and if you are near the foothills.
Timing of the storm for the High Desert. No rain for the high desert if you do it will be a trace. Strong gusty winds with 40 to 50+ mph gust are in the forecast until Tuesday. Wind Advisory for the high desert and a Wind Warning for Primm Stateline to Las Vegas until Tuesday.
Timing of the storm for the Wrightwood Mountains. Light Rain showers could start around 10pm Sunday-3am Monday morning and last until Tuesday morning. Wrightwood could get about a trace to ½ inch of rain or snow total. Gusty winds with 40+ mph gust are in the forecast until Tuesday.
If you travel through the Cajon Pass or on Interstate 15 expect traffic due to the weather condition can change quickly. Remember to SLOW DOWN in the rain or in foggy conditions with lights on.
