Wind Advisory for the High Desert and the Mountains Areas Monday and Tuesday

HIGH DESERT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Wind Advisory for Monday and can last until Tuesday night. A Gusty Wind Event is for the mountains, Victor/Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley, and the Mojave Desert locations.

A low pressure weather system is going to sweep on by Monday into Tuesday. Strong gusty winds are expected with the weather system. This could create hazardous driving conditions and areas of blowing dust.

The Southern California Weather Force has issued a Wind Advisory for the high deserts and the mountains. With winds blowing around 35-45+ mph in the Victor/Apple Valley area. Parts of the Barstow area will have 40-50+ mph winds. Lucerne Valley area will have 35-45+ mph winds. Mountains will have gust 35-45+ mph. Stateline/Primm/Las Vegas NV will have 40-50+ mph winds. Max wind gust will be 55 mph in spots.

Potential for hazardous crosswinds and blowing dust on Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass through Las Vegas NV as well as other roadways in the desert.

Also secure all outdoor stuff like chairs, BBQ, and other outdoor decorations.

The Wind Advisory should expire by Tuesday afternoon.
