The King of the Hammers is an off-road race that combines desert racing and rock crawling. This race is held on Means Dry Lake in Johnson Valley, near Yucca Valley.
Nicknamed “Hammertown” is a pop-up town in the middle of the desert with roughly 400 teams and 80,000+ spectators will attend the three-week desert races.
Expect traffic on Bear Valley towards Highway 18 Lucerne Valley on Fridays and Sundays coming back to I-15 Freeway.

Friday January 30 Qualifying by each class and the weather will be mostly sunny, windy with a high of 69° and the low of 42°.
Saturday Jan 31 Toyo Tires Desert Challenge Limited Races and the weather will be sunny, windy and a high of 71° and the low of 44°.
Sunday Febuary 1 Toyo Tires Desert Challenge Limited Races and the weather will be Partly Cloudy, windy, with a high of 71° and the low of 46°.
