SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A cut off low is set to move into Southern California late Friday into Saturday morning and round 2 hits late Saturday night into Sunday.
Scattered mainly light rain showers with a few potentially heavier bands hit or miss around Saturday morning.
Most organized heavy rain bands moving through the Inland Empire by Sunday late morning into the afternoon.
Southern California Weather Force said, they not expecting a thunderstorm event at least nothing close to normal given the lack of ingredients. This can be most being heavy shower event on Sunday.
The timing of the rain showers for both days
Inland Empire/Cajon Pass showers could start around 9pm-1am and last around to 8am on Saturday after that will be partly cloudy skies then more rain showers start around 11pm-3am on Sunday morning and last around to 3pm-6pm. Foggy rainy conditions for the Cajon Pass. Rain Total both days will be ½ inch to a inch.
High Desert cities could get some rain showers no rain on Saturday just gusty winds. Rain showers with gusty winds on Sunday could start around 6am-10am last around 2pm-5pm. Gusty winds with 40-50mph gust. Total both days will be a trace to a ¼ inch.
Wrightwood will get light showers that could start around 10pm-2am last and last to 8am Saturday morning. Then more rain showers around on 11pm-3am on Sunday morning and last around to 4pm-7pm. Gusty winds with 30-40mph gust. Snow is possible above 7,000 feet. Total rain both days will be ½ inch to a inch. Sunday snow total will be a dusting to one inch.
Weather Alert for the Cajon Pass will see light rain showers/drizzle with heavy fog on Saturday and heavy rain showers and fog on Sunday.
If you travel through the Cajon Pass or on Interstate 15 expect traffic due to the weather condition can change quickly. Remember to SLOW DOWN in the rain or in foggy conditions.
