CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Its May Gray for the Cajon Pass. All because of a weak low-pressure systems bring low clouds/foggy skies with a chance of drizzle Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
The weather pattern has changed and the return of “May Gray” as the marine layer comes in Southern California and means cool and cloudy mornings for the region.
You most likely know it from the early morning low cloud and fog that roll in and give way to afternoon sunshine.
This May Gray/June Gloom pattern happens when cool and moist air is trapped near the surface due to a temperature inversion.
It’s nearly impossible to pinpoint exactly how long it will stick around each day.
Since this year the sea surface temperatures are warmer than usual, that could mean we don’t see it stick around to much in June this year.
Here is some tips to drive in the fog:

When visibility drops:
🚗💨 Slow down below the speed limit.
↔️ Leave extra space between vehicles .
💡 Use low-beam headlights not your 4-way flashers.
👀 Stay alert for stopped or very slow traffic.
Let’s look out for each other = Safe travels up and down the Cajon Pass.
Allow yourself extra drive time on foggy weather days.
