It’s Monsoon Season, it will Start early this Year and Expecting to be a Interesting Season

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> June 15 marks the official start of the monsoon season, but it has already started last week in Arizona and could hit parts of Southern California before the 15th.

The monsoon season has yet to start, and already most pattern recognition traits are pushing towards a very interesting monsoon season.

Keep something in mind while many other people are stating how we’re already coming into a super El Niño: well, that is not correct. We’re slowly going into an El Niño, and as we move into August is when it will rapidly speed up with the temperature rises. That being said, the tropics across the West Coast will be interesting to watch given the following:

This year will have massive heat across the Pacific Ocean, even near the coast of California, which could mean:

* More moisture

* More instability for thunderstorms

* Higher rates of rainfall (since more moisture also means higher rates). Flash flooding

* More hot and muggy weather days

* Strong Gusty Winds

They are saying, I wouldn’t be surprised if even San Diego in the summer get hit by a tropical storm or post tropical storm this year.

Join the ZoneWatch app with a detailed outlook for not only AZ & CA, but all surrounding states as well while only being notified when your region is under fire. You also have rapid precipitation alerts, high-resolution lightning alerts, high-resolution radar, and so much more.

The Southern California Weather Force will post weather alerts on there website.

However, humidity levels are still anticipated to rise, as large volumes of moisture remain stagnant in the atmosphere, meaning the weather will feel hotter, despite the temperatures.
