(Pain In The Pass) >> Moisture from Hurricane Rachel is now a Tropical Storm is moving toward Southern California and will help to cool SoCal down and change the weather for the next few days. This with bring heavy rain showers and thunderstorms for Sunday morning into Monday.
Expect Strong Gusty Winds with this storm and a Flood Watch for LA, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego Counties.
Timing for Inland Empire/Cajon Pass. Off and on light rain showers could start Saturday afternoon into the night. But the bulk of the heavy to moderate rain will start Sunday morning around 2am – 5am. Fog with moderate to heavy rain showers in the Cajon Pass on Sunday. Sunday only Rainfall for The Cajon Pass/foothills could get about a ½+ inch to 1½+ of rain total. The Inland Empire cities could get ½ inch to 1½+ of rain total; each city could vary and if you are near the foothills will get more rainfall.
Timing of the storm for the High Desert. Rain showers could start around 3am – 6am Sunday morning. Light to moderate rain showers for the high desert. Chance of isolated thunderstorms could bring higher rain totals. Deserts could get about a ½+ inch to 1+ inch of rain total on Sunday. Gusty winds are in the forecast.
Timing of the storm for the Big Bear, Wrightwood area Mountains. Off and on light rain showers could start Saturday afternoon into the night. The bulk of the rain showers could start around 3am – 6am Sunday morning. Moderate to heavy rain showers on Sunday. The mountains could get about 1 inch to 2+ inches of rain total on Sunday. Chance of isolated thunderstorms could bring higher rain totals. Gusty winds are in the forecast. Lake Arrowhead to Big Bear will get more rain than Wrightwood.
