CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A vehicle fire broke out on northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Tuesday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters responded to a large vehicle fire on northbound I-15 about a mile after the Kenwood Avenue exit about 2pm on September 16, 2025.
A Chevrolet landscape dump truck pulled over to the right shoulder of the freeway with flames coming from the engine compartment.
According to CHP, the two right lanes were blocked for about an hour due to debris from the truck.
CHP said there were no injuries.
The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
The lanes have since reopened.
