BARSTOW, CA (PAIN IN THE PASS) – California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a bad accident at 11:25 am Thursday 6/27 on National Trails Highway/Main Street/Historic U.S. Route 66 by Hodge Road.

The accident was located in the town of Hodge a unincorporated community of San Bernardino County. Hodge is about 10 miles away for Barstow.

When CHP arrived at the location they had one vehicle rollover a Nissan Versa on National Trails Highway and a new Kawasaki motorcycle down.

From CHP report the driver of the car may have lost control and hit the rider for a unknown reason.

Firefighters help out 2 victims out of the vehicle and then airlifted by a medevac helicopter to a hospital.

Despite life-saving measures, the driver of the vehicle and the motorcyclist rider pass away due to there injures at the scene.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol Barstow Station are investigating the incident.
