PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters quickly gain control of a small brush fire that broke out in a hilly area of Phelan Thursday afternoon.

This fire was reported at about 12:48pm Thursday, July 29, 2021. Located near Oil Well Road/Tamarin Street and near Highway 138. US Forest Service, and San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters were quickly on scene. At 3pm the fire has been stopped at about a ¼ of a acre burned. Firefighters will remain in the area for mop-up operations for about a hour or so to make sure no hot spots flare up. No major road or lane closures during the fire fight. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
