PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Traffic is expected to be blocked for hours at a rail crossing on Phelan Road after a man drove his car into the freight train Saturday morning.
The incident happen at 8:17am on Saturday August 28, 2021, at the crossing on Phelan Rd. located between Sunny Vista Rd. and White Rd. When first responder arrived, they found a white BMW sedan with major front-end damage sideway between the two eastbound lanes on Phelan Rd. California Highway Patrol said a male driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle, he was able to get out under his own power with only a head abrasion. The man appeared to suffer no other injuries. No one else was hurt. His vehicle is obviously totaled.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office.
