Everyone Escapes Car Fire Northbound I-15 In The Cajon Pass

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A car caught fire on northbound Interstate 15 at the top of the Cajon Pass Saturday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a tan Chevrolet Impala on fire. The vehicle was located northbound I-15 about a half mile before Oak Hill Road exit, about 11:26am on Saturday morning September 11, 2021.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane, while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
