PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A multi-vehicle crash on Johnson Road at Phelan Road led to two people critically injured Monday afternoon.

The crash was reported at about 2:34pm, Monday November 29, 2021, at the intersection on Johnson Rd. at Phelan Rd. California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash. Reports from the CHP traffic log reported that the black sedan ran the red light.

CHP reported there was a three-vehicle crash involving a black Nissan Altima who reportedly ran the red light traveling south on Johnson Rd. The Nissan T-boned a white Ford F-250 pickup truck traveling on Phelan Rd, the collision caused the Nissan to fly in the air and crash upside down into a sliver Jeep Renegade waiting to make a right turn onto Phelan Rd.

Firefighters rendered aid to two people inside the Nissan. Rescue crews needed to extricated both and requested two helicopters to transport both with critical injuries. They were both transported by CHP helicopters from the Stater Bros. shopping center near the scene to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. No other people were reported to be injured.

This crash is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Please check back for updates on this incident.
