LUCERNE VALLEY, CA, (Pain In The Pass) >> Two 16-year-olds were killed and two critically injured in a two vehicle crash on Camp Rock Road at Highway 247 Friday night.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were called to the scene about 9:57pm Friday April 8, 2022. The crash was located at the intersection of Camp Rock Rd. and Highway 247. An unknown vehicle and a Maroon Honda CRV crashed causing the Honda to land on its side about 100 feet off the roadway, according to the Traffic Log from the California Highway Patrol.
CHP and firefighters rendered aid to three females inside the Honda and the driver in the other vehicle. Despite life-saving rescue measures, firefighter officials said that both 16-year-old passengers were pronounced deceased at the scene. Then firefighters requested two medical helicopters to transport the female driver and the other driver a local trauma center. Mercy Air #24 landed on the roadway to transport one person to Loma Linda University Medical Center in critical condition. The other helicopter was Mercy Air #2 transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center also in critical condition.
The driver of the maroon Honda CRV condition has not been updated. She has been identified has Klaus’ grandmother, Christy Rees,
Details on the conditions of the unidentified driver, were not released as of Sunday.
