VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In the Pass) >> The driver of a big rig was airlifted after his tractor-trailer overturned on Highway 395 in Victorville late Wednesday morning.

Victorville Police Department and firefighters from Victorville City Fire Department responded to a crash. The collision was reported at about 11:55am, Wednesday April 27, 2022. It was located on Hwy 395 at Sycamore Street between Eucalyptus St. and Bear Valley Road. The vehicle involved according to Victorville PD was a white Audi A series sedan and a big rig.

Based on preliminary reports, the big rig was traveling northbound on the Hwy 395 when he was clipped by the white Audi sedan. The big rig driver lost control eventually overturning into the open desert.

When firefighters responded to the scene, they requested a medical helicopter to transport to a local trauma hospital. The medical helicopter landed at near the scene, Mercy Air #22 airlifted the driver to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The drivers condition was unknown at this time. No other injuries were reported.

There are no other details released at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the Victorville Police Department. Additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
