CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> No injures were reported after a chain-reaction crash on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Sunday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately at 5:31am, Sunday July 24, 2022. It was located on southbound Interstate 15 just before the truck escape ramp. California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving three vehicles.
The California Highway Patrol said the series of collisions started when a white Hyundai Santa Fe SUV lost control, collided with the guardrail then became disabled in the middle lanes. Two drivers traveling down the pass coming into the semi blind curve, where the white SUV was sitting were unable to avoid and crash into them.
No injures were reported in the collision.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office. CHP said additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Details were limited at this time.
