Driver Injuries After Motorhome Trailering Horses Rolls Over On I-40 Near Ludlow

LUDLOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol says a motorhome trailering two horses was going westbound on Interstate 40 near Ludlow when for unknown reasons, the motorhome lost control and rolled over.

California Highway Patrol, and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash. The incident took place at about 11:03am September 5, 2022. The location was about 2 miles after Crucero Road exit on the westbound I-40.

From what the traffic log stated, it was a solo vehicle crash involving a motorhome pulling a 40 foot horse trailer with two horses inside. From reports the motorhome blew a right front tire, then veered to the right shoulder. The motorhome then hit the guardrail and rolled over on it’s side. The impact ejected the driver from the motorhome, where he landed on the dirt shoulder.

Rescue crews requested a medical helicopter to transport the driver. He was transported by Reach Air Medical #43 at the scene to Loma Linda Medical Center in unknown condition.

Two horses were inside the trailer one is okay and the other horse is injured. The horse will be transported to a vet in Chino from reports.
