JEAN, NV. (Pain In The Pass) >> A fatal single-vehicle rollover crash between the town of Jean Nevada and Primm, Friday night on southbound Interstate 15.
The crash happened just after 8pm Friday December 23, 2022. The location was on southbound Interstate 15 about 8 miles away from Stateline. Nevada Highway Patrol and Clark County Fire Department responded to the traffic collision involving an unknown type of vehicle.
According to the NHP, the vehicle lost control at an unknown high speed, rolled-over multiple times, and then caught fire after it rolled over.
Firefighters rendered aid to two people involved in the crash. Rescue crews requested two helicopters to transport with serious injuries. Minutes later at the scene the passenger succumbed to their injuries sustained in the collision. The driver was transported by Mercy Air Helicopter to Las Vegas University Medical Center in critical condition.
Southbound traffic was shut down in the area of the crash for hours and were reopen early Saturday morning.
The passenger identity has not been released publicly at this time.
