Glen Helen Parkway Bridge Closed At Cajon Creek Due To Storm Damage

SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Glen Helen Parkway bridge may have structural issues at the bridge that crosses over the Cajon Creek in San Bernardino County. It’s reported a levee broke and maybe closed for weeks.

San Bernardino County Public Work will be out Wednesday morning to assess the damage to the bridge or the levee to keep the storm water contain to go down stream. At this time the bridge is closed.

Still, it’s not over. The ground is still wet from today and last week’s storms, and the creek levels are still relatively high, placing pressure on the levees long after the weather passed. With a new storm coming in on the weekend and next week could damage it more.

No nearby homes or businesses are affect by the raging water in the creek at this time.

We will update this story with more information when the San Bernardino County Public Work report is available.
