California Highway Patrol, with San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and San Bernardino County Fire Department were called to the scene. Emergency dispatcher said a trailer caught fire about 7:45am on Thursday August 31, 2023 on Highway 395 near Cactus Road.

When the semi stop on the right shoulder, flames were coming from rear-end of the trailer brakes/tires area. Minutes later the flames reach the trailer. Before the fire department were on scene flames were spreading inside the trailer.

The driver was able to detach the tractor from the trailer to save the tractor cab from catching fire.

The trailer was fully loaded and was not described in the call.

The cause of the trailer fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported.
