NEEDLES, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pedestrian was killed in a crash on Interstate 40 near Needles California Tuesday night, California Highway Patrol said.
About 7:16pm, CHP responded to the intersection of eastbound I-40 and 5 Mile Road on a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian, according to the CHP Traffic Log. The driver of the vehicle was heading east when they struck the pedestrian. On arrival, CHP discovered the victim and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
The Accident Investigation Unit and the Coroner responded to the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
They have not released the name of the victim at this time.
This incident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Needles Office
