The collision occurred about 5:10am on Friday March 29, 2024. The crash location was about 14 miles north of Kramer Junction, in the small town of Fremont near Fremont Pike Road on Highway 395.
According to California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department says the crash between a white Honda Pilot SUV and a white Audi A4 that were involved in the crash, the CHP Traffic Log said.
Firefighters rendered aid to the all the people involved in the crash and reported one of the drivers a 37-year-old Daniel Anthoney Cane of Ridgecrest, was deceased at the scene.
They rendered aid to the people involved in the incident. Rescue crews requested a medical helicopter to land at the scene to transport the other driver.
The other driver was transported from the scene by Mercy Air #2 to Antelope Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
