APPLE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A driver was killed and four other people were injured after a head-on crash on Rock Springs Road that led to a section of the roadway being closed on Mother’s Day afternoon. (Photo above is credit by Vanessa Nunez)
The crash occurred at about 3:11pm Sunday, May 12, 2024 on Rock Springs Rd. near Deep Creek Rd, involving a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and white Jeep Renegade Subcompact SUV, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Apple Valley Firefighters arrived on scene and pronounced the driver of the Toyota deceased on scene. Four occupants in the Jeep were reported to have minor injuries.
The road was closed for over two hours for the investigation and the removal of the vehicles.
