HIGH DESERT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> High temperatures and monsoonal moisture are threatening this afternoon. There is a 10% to 20% chance of thunderstorms developing for the high desert and mountain area Sunday afternoon and a 30% chance for the Big Bear area.
So, this will make things hot and sticky across Southern California.
An excessive-heat warning remains in effect for much of the region’s inland communities between Las Vegas Neveda and San Bernardino County this weekend. The high desert cities are expected to exceed 105 degrees, with other inland valleys between 90 and 100.
If thunderstorms materialize, take the threat seriously and seek shelter inside. When thunder roars, go indoors! If not indoors in a vehicle.
