HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are looking for the person or a group of people who graffiti on the sides of a Mercy Air #22 rescue helicopter at the Hesperia Airport Saturday night or on early Sunday morning.

The vandalism was first reported just after 5:20am October 27, 2024 Sunday at Hesperia Airport in the 7000 block of Summit Valley Road, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials.

“The suspect or suspects defaced the helicopter with graffiti,” according to sheriff’s department spokeswoman Gloria Huerta. “The damages were estimated at several thousand dollars.”

Images below show that both sides of the helicopter were graffiti up. The pilot’s side featured the letters “RMJK”, while the passenger side displayed “CBS”

After the incident, the helicopter was moved to a maintenance hangar at the airport, where they managed to remove the graffiti.

The investigation is ongoing, and no suspect descriptions are available at this time.

Mercy Air is operated by Colorado-based Air Methods, and provides critical air ambulance services for life-threatening medical emergencies and injuries in San Bernardino County’s High Desert communities.
