CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A cold inside slider will dip into Southern California late Thursday into Friday morning and pass through Friday night. Various areas of the forecast area will see different weather impacts cities with strong gusty winds, chances of rain, and snow showers.

Fog and light rain showers expected for the morning and evening commutes.

Timing of the storm for the Inland Empire and the Cajon Pass. Rain showers could start around 1-3am Friday morning with fog in the Cajon Pass. The Cajon Pass/foothills could get about a ½ inch to a inch of rain total. The Inland Empire cities could get about a trace to ½ of inch of rain total. There no chance of snow at the top of the Cajon Pass.

Timing of the storm for the High Desert. The rain showers should miss the high desert cities. If you see rain, it will be only a trace. Strong gusty winds will be in the forecast. Strong winds will start around 8pm until Friday night. Gusty Winds up to 45mph

Timing of the storm for Wrightwood Mountains. Winter Weather Advisory is issued on Thursday at 9pm until Friday at 10pm. Light rain to Snow showers may start around 1am-3am. Snow level will be down to 6,000 ft. then drop to 4,000 ft on Friday night. Wrightwood could get a dusting to 2 inches of snow total. Strong Gusty winds at times.

If you travel through the Cajon Pass or on Interstate 15 expect traffic due to the weather condition can change quickly. Remember to SLOW DOWN in the rain or in foggy conditions.
