HIGH DESERT, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A Wind Advisory for Thursday afternoon throught the night. A Gusty Wind Event is for the mountains, Victor/Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley, and the Mojave Desert locations.
A weather system is going to sweep through Southern California on Thursday. Gusty southwest winds are expected with the weather system.
The Pain In The Pass has issued a Wind Advisory for the high desert. With winds blowing around 30-40+ mph in the Victor/Apple Valley area. Parts of the Barstow area will have 30-40 mph winds. Lucerne Valley area will have 45-55 mph winds. Mountains will have gust 30 to 50+ mph. Max wind gust will be 60 mph.
Potential for hazardous crosswinds and blowing dust on Interstate 15 from the top of the Cajon Pass through Stateline NV as well as other area roadways.
Also secure all outdoor stuff like chairs, BBQ, and Christmas decorations.
The Wind Advisory should expire by Friday morning.
