Officers responded to the crash around 8:17am February 3, 2025 on Old Woman Springs Road Hwy 247 near Mikiska Bouvard.
It was reported to be a three-vehicle collision involved a RV motorhome pulling a trailer, a white Ford F-150 pickup truck pulling a Ford Bronco SUV on the trailer and a white SUV possible a Toyota 4Runner.
San Bernardino County Firefighters arrived on scene, they said one person the driver of the Ford F-150 was trapped and needed to be extricated from the truck. The driver reported to have serious injuries. Firefighters requested a medical helicopter to land at the scene to transported.
Mercy Air helicopter from Big Bear landed nearby and transported the driver to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Spring. One person was transported by ground ambulance to a nearly hospital.
Two other people involved suffered minor injuries. One of them was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
The exact reason for the collision remains unknown, looks to be a head-on collision however, speed, medical issue, and the morning sun could be a factor.
