BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Old Highway 58 in north Barstow, California Highway Patrol said.
Officers responded to a major accident near the intersection of Old Highway 58 and Ramirez Road around 2:36pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2025. Two vehicles had collided with each other at that location, according to CHP.
Rescue personnel arrived at the scene to find a white Chevrolet pickup truck on its side with major front-end damage and a white sedan possibly a Toyota Carmy with significant front-end and passenger side damage.
Witnesses reported that the pickup was speeding before the crash occurred.
Barstow Fire Department attempted life-saving measures; the driver of the Chevrolet died at the scene with injuries sustained during the crash.
