BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Four juvenile are in custody after a stolen vehicle pursuit from Adelanto ended in Barstow on Interstate 15 on Sunday morning.
The incident began around 10am on February 23, 2025, when San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop a white Toyota Camry sedan with four occupants inside traveling on Bartlett Avenue and Highway 395 in Adelanto.
Deputy Villasenor attempted to stop the driver who swerved intentionally into oncoming traffic attempting to hit him head on.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as a 14-year-old male juvenile, failed to yield and continued at speeds of 110mph through the city of Victorville and onto the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway.
The pursuit continued north until it reached the city of Barstow where the suspects blew the vehicle transmission and crashed to multiple vehicles.
Four juveniles inside the vehicle were taken into custody. The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of West Covina. The 14-year-old driver of the vehicle, and the 15-year-old who stole the vehicle from a family member, were booked at the High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center. The other two suspects were released into the custody of their parents.

Three of the juveniles were documented gang members from reports.
No injuries were reported in the pursuit or the collision that ended the pursuit.
