CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pickup truck carrying three occupants reportedly caught fire while hauling an older classic truck on the trailer in the Cajon Pass. (Photo above is credit by Lanrry Velazquez)
The fire happened in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 about two miles before the top of the Cajon Pass just before 7:30pm on April 11, 2025. San Bernardino County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol were on scene. The CHP had to shut down the #4 lane and the slow lane to fight the fire.
Everybody did escape the white Ford F-250 before it became fully engulfed.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
It was reported flames were under the engine compartment. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
